Olivia Wang

NYC based dancer and choreographer

Originally from Houston, Olivia Wang trained with the pre-professional company at Houston Contemporary Dance Company, Houston Contemporary 2, as well as Houston Ballet Academy. She received her BFA in Dance from The Juilliard School in 2026, graduating with the Hector Zaraspe Prize for Choreographic Promise.

As a choreographer, her work has been selected for Choreographic Honors for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024, and 2025. She was also one of six choreographers chosen for Juilliard’s Choreographers and Composers program in 2024, where she premiered Then, Now: Body Remember in collaboration with composer Elise Arancio and her original score. In May 2025, Wang presented Cyclical Tendencies through the Steps Beyond Foundation Choreography Lab. That summer, she served as a resident choreographer with Columbus Modern Dance Company, where she was commissioned to create Falling in and Out of Time. Selected by the faculty as a Juilliard Senior Production Choreographer, she most recently premiered her work Elsewhere in 2026. She was also nominated for a 2026 Princess Grace Award in choreography.

As a performer, Wang has originated roles in new creations by Studio Wayne McGregor, Adam Barruch, Aszure Barton, Pam Tanowitz, Hope Boykin, Jamar Roberts, Juan Carlos Franquiz Jr., and Chanel DaSilva. She has also performed repertory works by Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber, José Limón, and Alvin Ailey. In addition to her performance and choreographic work, Olivia has taught at studios across New York City, Ohio, and Texas.
